PRIVACY POLICY

As mentioned in the Terms of Use, the collection of personal data concerning you is mandatory and required if you wish to participate in a challenge, create a new challenge, or if you are a professor and you want to use the platform for your course on the « ChallengeData.ens.fr » website. Each form aims to limit the amount of data collected. Without this data, the « ChallengeData » team will not be able to provide the relevant service (account creation and access to the Challenges on the platform).

The data controller is ENS-PSL for the « ChallengeData » team, under the responsibility of Stéphane Mallat, ENS-PSL, 45 rue d'Ulm, 75005 Paris and Collège de France, 11 place Marcelin Berthelot, 75005 Paris.

1. Data collected

The personal data collected are:

For the contact form: name, e-mail, the user's message and any other information voluntarily provided by the user.
For the creation of a Participant User account: surname, first name, username, e-mail, status, institution.
For the creation of a Professor User account: surname, first name, username, e-mail, institution.
For the creation of a Provider User account: username, e-mail, description of the activity, institution, institution logo.

2. Purposes of the processing

The data are collected and processed for the following purposes:

To respond to the user's contact requests (contact form).
To manage the relationship with Participant, Professor or Provider Users (account creation form for access to challenges and/or courses on the « ChallengeData.ens.fr » platform, management of the account and of the communications relating to the Challenges sent by the « ChallengeData » team).
To improve the services offered by the « ChallengeData.ens.fr » website.

3. Legal basis

The personal data concerning you are collected and processed by the team in charge of managing the « ChallengeData » platform for ENS-PSL and Collège de France on the basis of legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

4. Retention period

The data are kept for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which they are collected, as well as to comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Recipients of the data

The recipients of this data are:

Within ENS-PSL: the persons authorized by virtue of their assignments or functions within the DATA team of the IT department of ENS-PSL.
Outside ENS-PSL: the persons authorized by virtue of their assignments or functions participating in the « ChallengeData » team within Collège de France and Institut Louis Bachelier, partners of ENS-PSL, involved in the management of the challenges (management and technical support).

This website has a strictly educational purpose. No personal data is shared or transmitted to any third party, nor used for commercial or other purposes.

6. Data security

The data controller implements technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data, in accordance with the requirements of European Regulation No 2016/679/EU of 27 April 2016 (the « General Data Protection Regulation » or « GDPR »).

7. Users' rights

In accordance with Law No 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties, as amended (Loi « Informatique et Libertés »), and with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, carry and delete any online personal data on this site.
